Let me first tell you that if you haven’t played this game yet, you should just close your browser (add this page to your bookmarks) and start playing. I can easily say, that this game was one of the most entertaining FPS games I’ve ever played. The game is basically about you playing the story of a cowboy, who is telling his tales to a bunch of men in a bar. The fluency of the game and the sweetness of the graphics took my mind away. The appearance and the usage of the weapons of that era will make you feel very satisfied. The game has no quarrel with the reality, like the games of our time, it is aware that it’s a game and it acts that way. Instead of trying to be realistic and upset our compters, it managed to be beautiful without that. To tell you the truth, this is a game and a series, which I wouldn’t expect from Ubisoft.
It came out on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows. It came out in 2013 but it’s not a game to be forgotten quickly like most of the games we play. If they continued the series, I am sure I would play it without getting bored one bit.
So, what’s the deal with this game? The stories that Silas Greaves, a legendary bounty hunter who happened to stop by at a town and tell stories in a bar there, will let you experience something different. If you are interested even one bit, this game will attract you like hell with famous names such as Billy the Kid or John Wesley Hardin. The game ends in approximately 8 hours of gameplay without boring you or taking too long.
The ones who played Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive knows how beautiful the long-barreled gun is. You will taste the same joy here with the “Ranger” gun. Even though the two games are tactically far from each other, they are both very successful in making you feel the wild west. While playing Call of Juarez Gunslinger you will smile at the wittiness of Silas Greaves, even though you probably won’t laugh or anything.
If you are very careful, there is one thing that could get stuck in your mind. In such a game you’d wonder if you did something differently, whether the story-telling would change too. It does or it skips the parts of the story according to that. Fortunately they were able to think of such a detail unlike many companies. This way, there won’t be a little bug knocking on your brain as you play.
Gameplay
If you ask me, Call of Juarez Gunslinger has one of the most fluent gameplays ever. I couldn’t find a stupid detail that would make you stressed and it doesn’t force you to watch things or anything but I am sure you’d want to hear the story. At least if you watched old American movies, this game will interest you.
Graphics
I am not a big fan of comic-like graphics and the reason for that is, that they almost always suck. But Call of Juarez Gunslinger’s graphics will pull you to in with it’s niceness, beauty and colourfulness. If you force yourself enough, you may even remember the old cartoons we used to watch.
